Description
Provides administrative support and coordinates activities for the Preteen and Special Needs Ministries of Prestonwood en Espanol.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of both ministries
- Oversee programming, events, and activities for both ministries
- Provide assistance including scheduling appointments, answering telephones, ordering office supplies, and other clerical duties
- Respond to requests and inquiries from leadership, teachers, members, attendees, and prospects
- Plan and lead LifeGroups for Preteen and Special Needs participants
- Recruit, train, schedule, and communicate with Special Needs childcare teachers for services, Bible studies, and special events
- Design and deliver appropriate training for Special Needs childcare teachers and volunteers to teach appropriate methods of behavior modification
- Ensure staffing and volunteer levels for both ministries meet needs for services and events
- Review and write curriculum for both ministry areas
- Make personal visits and/or contacts with prospects, absentees, hospitalized members, and attendees
- Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
- Coordinate with appropriate church staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
- Assist in the planning and execution of the Special Needs Prom
- Create informational material for distribution
- Coordinate the New Christians one on ones and baptism scheduling
- Ensure classrooms are safe, clean, and properly maintained
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of Prestonwood en Espanol
- Proficient ability to read, write and speak in English/Spanish
- Experience and passion working with Preteen and Special Needs participants
- Some college preferred
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to work a Sunday – Thursday schedule with flexibility to work special events
- Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
