The Pesticide/Herbicide Chemical Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our chemical department, ensuring safe and effective pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer applications across our commercial landscaping sites. This role involves leading a team of applicators, maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and coordinating with other departments to meet client needs. The Chemical Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the health of landscapes, protecting the environment, and upholding our company’s quality standards.

This role involves leading a team of applicators, maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and coordinating with other departments to meet client needs. The Chemical Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the health of landscapes, protecting the environment, and upholding our company’s quality standards.
Job Duties
- Manage Chemical Programs: Develop and oversee herbicide, pesticide, and fertilizer applications, ensuring proper treatments for pest/weed issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, and state/local regulations, keeping accurate records and licenses up to date.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead spray technicians, conduct safety and application training, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Inventory & Equipment Oversight: Track chemical stock, maintain safe storage, and ensure application tools are properly calibrated and serviced.
- Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with managers and clients on treatment schedules, addressing concerns and ensuring clear updates.
- Documentation & Safety: Keep all required service records, update SDS/MSDS files, and enforce strict safety protocols across the department.
- Experience: 5–10 years in commercial landscaping or chemical application required. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Licensing: Valid Texas Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and a valid Texas Driver’s License required.
- Education: High School diploma required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s in horticulture, agronomy, or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of chemical regulations, safety protocols, MS Office proficiency, and basic math for mixing/application.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; bilingual in English/Spanish and attention to safety highly valued.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
