Job Overview

Pretech Corporation is seeking a dedicated Construction Officer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will manage scheduling, organization, and communication between clients and multiple crews, ensuring smooth operations and project execution. Your ability to collaborate with the client planning department and utilize work scope outlines will be essential in delivering successful projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction activities and oversee project execution with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Maintain a profound understanding of industrial and commercial scaffold construction principles and practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and implement safe scaffolding techniques.
• Manage and supervise commercial operations support staff, conducting hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Control project profitability by effectively managing labor and material resources, and ordering consumables as needed.
• Facilitate clear communication across teams and resolve any issues that may arise.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction practices and scaffold construction principles.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding project specifications.
• Exceptional managerial, analytical, and motivational skills.
• Familiarity with scaffold materials, leasing processes, and permit procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally experienced with project management software such as MS Projects or Primavera.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to analyze qualitative data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• Proven estimating experience and a solid understanding of administrative processes related to construction.
• Commitment to a strong safety culture, with Union experience considered advantageous.
