Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of all aspects of a manufacturing site, including customer interaction and supervision of key functions such as customer service, production planning, material control, quality control, maintenance, and shipping/receiving. Ensure all customer orders and company products are processed and shipped according to the planned schedules. Adhere to policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team including the Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Manager, Maintenance Manager, Materials Manager, and Customer Service Manager.
- Monitor safety trends, improve safety practices, and actively participate in safety committees and broader corporate safety initiatives.
- Assist in resource planning, including staffing (direct and indirect) and material scheduling.
- Optimize resource utilization to meet customer stock plans and fulfill orders.
- Monitor plant activities, address issues as needed to meet production schedules, and maintain product quality standards.
- Establish department organization, define staff responsibilities, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to equipment, tooling, material, and product design.
- Develop and implement operational methods and procedures to increase productivity.
- Create and implement reporting systems to track department performance and goal attainment.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment purchases to enhance plant operations.
- Collaborate with other departments on the development of new products and applications.
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Develop and manage plant budget, including full profit and loss responsibility.
- Maintain plant compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by monitoring equipment and labor utilization.
- Review production costs and adjust production and inventory control programs to improve plant profitability.
- Engage with customers directly to ensure focus on their needs.
- Approve all plant-related purchases.
- Submit capital expenditure requests to regional leadership.
- Assess labor needs and implement appropriate training programs.
- Participate in industry seminars, trade shows, and other knowledge-sharing activities.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings on topics such as production, quality, maintenance, safety training, ISO standards, and customer complaints.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in manufacturing and production planning.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.

- Solid mechanical knowledge and expertise in plant management.
- Ability to manage profit and loss and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
