Shipping & Receiving Specialist
We are hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team. As a Shipping & Receiving specialist, you will manage the flow of goods into and out of our facility, ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Process outgoing shipments in accordance with customer specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions, including documentation of discrepancies.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely processing and movement of goods.
- Manage the organization of the shipping and receiving area to optimize workflow and accessibility.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers regarding shipping schedules and delivery updates.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines during all shipping and receiving activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or plastics environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective coordination among teams.
