Description : Supervision :
This position receives direction and supervision from department supervisor, department manager and director of operations.
Description : Pre-Analytical Team Coordinator, under the direction of Pre-Analytical Manager, ensures that daily work of specimen accessioning / processing, phlebotomy, and clerical specialists working within clinical labs, and client offsite collections are completed accurately and on time; maintains a safe and professional environment for patients, clients, and employees; prepares work schedules and daily assignments for the preanalytical team; provides training and continuing education for the preanalytical teams; provides support to laboratory team-leaders as needed; responsible for order entry, specimen collection, specimen handling and processing for on-site and off-site collection locations.
Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a specimen processor / phlebotomist required. (Phlebotomy certification required within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience in a leadership role.
