Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Clinical Educator to join our team (Lymphedema certification course will be provided for the right candidate). The ideal candidate will provide education and training to patients, healthcare providers, and staff on lymphedema management, including the use of durable medical equipment (DME). The role involves developing educational materials, conducting educational lunch & learns and workshops, and ensuring that patients and clinicians are well-informed about effective treatment protocols and best practices in lymphedema care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Education: Provide detailed information to lymphedema patients on managing their condition and using prescribed DME, such as compression garments and pumps.
- Healthcare Provider Training: Co-present educational sessions, often at physician practices during the lunch hour. Offer training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals on the latest advancements in lymphedema management and DME utilization.
- Program Development: Implement and update educational programs, including instructional materials, presentations, and videos, to enhance learning for both patients and clinicians.
- Consultation: Serve as a resource for staff and providers regarding lymphedema treatment plans, protocols, and equipment.
- Clinical Support: Work closely with clinicians to assess patient needs and ensure proper DME usage, offering troubleshooting and support as necessary.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new developments in lymphedema research, treatments, and technology to incorporate into educational content.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, materials distributed, and patient or provider feedback.
Qualifications:
- Education: License in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or a Registerd Nurse . Certification in Lymphedema Therapy (CLT) is strongly preferred, but training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience working with patients (lymphedema care preferred). Experience in patient education and DME usage is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- The ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple educational programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn and use Company-specific software.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel to various healthcare facilities or patient homes as needed, by car.
