Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Headquarters (HQ) Supreme Allied Commander Transformation's (SACT) as an Information Environment Assessment Officer.
The Information Environment Assessment Officer plays a critical role in analyzing and assessing the information landscape, particularly in relation to NATO activities. This position focuses on identifying key narratives, evaluating media stakeholders, and assessing the effectiveness of both NATO’s communications and adversary information efforts, including disinformation campaigns. The officer will provide data-driven insights to enhance NATO’s strategic communications and mitigate hostile influence in the Information Environment (IE). This role requires expertise in data analysis, attribution modeling, and research methodologies to support NATO's comprehensive approach to information operations and crisis management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify specific narratives and their role in the Information Environment (IE), particularly regarding NATO activities and issues of concern, including audiences of interest to NATO
- Identify key media stakeholders (operators, owners, financers) and assess their perception of NATO and its activities
- Assess and report on the effectiveness of HQ SACT and its subordinate communications
- Assess and report on the effectiveness of NATO adversary and competitor information efforts, particularly disinformation or propaganda campaigns, on NATO audiences, operations, and activities
- Use historical data points to evaluate the success of previous hostile Information Activities, identify Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and forecast their potential use in future hostile communications
- Provide real-time data insights to support NATO communicators in capitalizing on NATO's own communications and mitigating the impact of hostile communications in the IE
- Prepare Strategic Command-level briefs on designated aspects of the Information Environment as required
- Provide support to NATO's comprehensive approach to crisis management operations
- Undertake additional duties and assume other responsibilities as directed by the Chain of Command
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications assessments and marketing data analysis
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with statistical analysis and the use of analytical tools
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with attribution modeling and forecasting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in analytical data interpretation and presentation
- Working knowledge of conducting industry research, including data gathering on audiences, tracking behaviors, preferences, and actions
- Proven knowledge of communication principles and practices, including campaign strategies, audience segmentation, and effective use of communication channels
- Ability to perform effectively in a military environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tool Suite and collaborative software
- US Citizen required
- US / NATO Member Country Passport required
Desired:
- Possess a familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the military rank and grade structure
- Possess a knowledge of military terminology
Education:
- A degree in a relevant field such as information technology or statistical analysis
Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
