Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to serve as a Mid-Level Advanced Tactical Training Air Defense and Ballistic Missile Defense (AD/BMD) for the Commander, Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). In this role, you will provide tactical and operational expertise to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of the Surface Force across multiple warfare domains. Occasional travel may be required.

Support Locations:
This role provides support across various SMWDC sites, including:
- SMWDC Headquarters, San Diego, CA
- Mine Warfare (MIW) Division, San Diego, CA
- Sea Combat (SC) Division, San Diego, CA
- Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Division, Dahlgren, VA
- Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Division, Little Creek, VA
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide analysis and support for fleet readiness evaluation, warfighting capability assessment, and tactical publication updates
- Support Advanced Tactical Training and operational support for Air Defense and Ballistic Missile Defense (AD/BMD) requirements
- Support collaboration with Strike Group, Fleet, and Major Training Commands to plan and execute tactical training and combat systems testing
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments to support warfighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations
- Utilize knowledge of combat systems, C5I, networks, and weapons systems to enhance training effectiveness
- Develop and manage operational procedures, ensuring training aligns with SMWDC’s goals in AD and BMD domains
Requirements
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required at the time of proposal submission
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience in the AD/BMD Mission area with at least 5 of those years must have been served onboard an AEGIS DDG and or CG
- Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Command, Systems Testing Command or similar military organization planning experience
- Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC))
- Possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience as a WTI (IAMD) qualified officer (Aviation Officer Qualification may be accepted)
- Skills:
- Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word, for analysis, reporting, and presentations
Preferred Attributes
- Experience as a Weapon Tactics Instructor (WTI) in Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD)
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve tactical training and operational strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for interfacing with Navy leadership and cross-functional teams
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the tactical deployment and operation of SSDS systems, including leadership roles on naval platforms. This individual will be responsible for overseeing system operations, evaluating war-fighting readiness, and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative assessments to ensure operational success.

Salary : $80,000 - $135,000
