Prevailance is seeking a dedicated Curriculum Developer / System Designer to join our team supporting the Navy Expeditionary Warfighting Development Center (NEXWDC). In this role, you will play a key part in managing NEXWDC courses and developing curriculum in adherence to Navy Instructional System Design (ISD) principles, specifically following the PADDIE-M (Plan, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate, Maintain) model. You will report directly to the Senior Military Analyst for Academics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to ISD principles throughout the curriculum development process, including creating management materials such as Training Project Plans (TPP), Course Training Task Lists (CTTL), and Training Course Control Documents (TCCD)
- Assist in Job, Duty, Task, Analysis (JDTA) and develop Terminal Objectives (TO) and Enabling Objectives (EO)
- Recommend and implement curriculum changes through the Formal Course Revision (FCR) process
- Develop course objectives, testing plans, and administrator guides, including Performance Test Administrator's Guides (PTAG) and Knowledge Test Administrator's Guides (KTAG)
- Coordinate and facilitate NEXWDC course offerings throughout the fiscal year
- Provide instruction for course curriculum as needed
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Senior Military Analyst for Academics and the Program Manager
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of military service, civilian, or contractor experience in military training, education, or instructional product development, specifically:
- Instructional Design Practices: Designing training programs, developing strategies, and improving instructional effectiveness
- Educational Evaluation: Developing and validating evaluation systems, tests, and surveys to assess instructional program effectiveness
- Instructional Product Development: Developing training materials tailored to learner characteristics and evaluating the effectiveness of those materials
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in organization, planning, and prioritization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Expertise in using tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other media software
- Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under deadline constraints
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required
- Candidates with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in training or education may substitute this experience for a degree
Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
