Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support the Commander Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) as a Senior Capability Assessments, Experimentation, and Future Requirements Analyst. This role will directly contribute to SMWDC's mission to enhance the lethality and tactical proficiency of the Surface Force across all domains. The Analyst will be instrumental in supporting SMWDC's key lines of operation, including Advanced Tactical Training, Doctrine and Tactical Guidance Development, Operational Support, and Capability Assessment, Experimentation, and Requirements. Travel may be required.
SMWDC’s mission is realized through four primary lines of operation:
- Advanced Tactical Training
- Doctrine and Tactical Guidance Development
- Operational Support
- Capability Assessment, Experimentation, and Requirements
SMWDC’s Subject Matter Expert support is required to advance these objectives through individual and group instruction, training assessment, support for the Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) program, and operational/tactical doctrine development.
Support services for SMWDC are required across multiple sites, including:
- SMWDC Headquarters (HQ) in San Diego, CA
- Mine Warfare (MIW) Division, San Diego, CA
- Sea Combat (SC) Division, San Diego, CA
- Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Division, Dahlgren, VA
- Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Division, Little Creek, VA
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide technical expertise to evaluate fleet readiness and improve warfighting capabilities
- Support assessments of tactical publications for currency and relevance
- Provide analysis, training, and support to meet SMWDC’s operational and tactical requirements
- Review, update, or develop operational or tactical doctrine to maintain alignment with SMWDC’s objectives
- Support strategic objectives, including Capability Assessment and Experimentation, focusing on the following domains:
- Surface Warfare
- Anti-submarine Warfare
- Amphibious Warfare
- Mine Warfare
- Integrated Air & Missile Defense
Requirements
- Security Clearance: Current SECRET clearance required at the time of proposal submission
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of recent experience as a Qualified Surface Warfare Officer (SWO)
- At least 5 years of recent experience in technical writing or Project Objective Memorandum (POM) issue development
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Warfare Improvement Program (WIP) process

Salary : $80,000 - $135,000
