Prevailance is seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineer Analyst – Air Warfare to provide expertise in evaluating and enhancing the readiness of U.S. Navy combat systems with a focus on air warfare. This role demands extensive technical knowledge, recent shipboard experience, and a deep understanding of Navy readiness evaluations and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical expertise on combat systems air warfare (AW) programs, including SPY, SSDS, MK-99 FCS, VLS, cooling skids, computers, displays, dry air systems, and 400Hz systems
- Oversee AW administrative programs, such as FIS/RLP, Phase and Power, and Smooth Log
- Support readiness evaluations and inspections in accordance with the Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM), focusing on Chapter 6
- Provide expertise in INSURV publications, including Master Event Lists, Inspection Guides (IIG), and related deliverables
- Apply advanced knowledge of Material Maintenance Management (3M) and the Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
- Leverage expertise in the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), specifically EOC definitions and scoring
- Travel up to 50% of the time, including multi-day embarkations aboard U.S. Naval vessels
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Combat systems-focused background with experience as:
- Systems Test Officer (STO),
- Electronic Material Officer (EMO),
- Combat Systems Maintenance Manager (CSMM), or
- LCPO of a shipboard Combat Systems department
- 20 years of documented hands-on combat systems air warfare experience
- Recent (within the past 5 years) shipboard combat systems experience
- Three (3) at-sea tours in a combat systems/AW capacity
- Tactical Action Officer (TAO) qualification on one or more platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Physical capability to climb ladders and remain aboard Naval vessels for extended periods
Strongly Desired Qualifications:
- 25 years of Navy surface ship Combat Systems experience
- Retired LDO, CWO, or E8 / E9
- Experience with both AEGIS (SPY) and SSDS systems
- Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system expertise
- Experience as an Inspector for the U.S. Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV)
- Experience with Afloat Training Group or TYCOM staff, focusing on pre-INSURV preparations
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with:
- Optimum Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) and execution via the SFTRM
- Functional areas of INSURV Material Inspections, SOEs, IIGs, and governing publications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance

Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
