Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to serve as Senior-Level Technical Writing Support for the Commander, Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). In this role, you will provide tactical and operational expertise to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of the Surface Force across multiple warfare domains. Occasional travel may be required.

SMWDC’s mission focuses on advancing the Navy's Surface Force through four key areas:

Support Locations:
This role provides support across various SMWDC sites, including:
- SMWDC Headquarters, San Diego, CA
- Mine Warfare (MIW) Division, San Diego, CA
- Sea Combat (SC) Division, San Diego, CA
- Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Division, Dahlgren, VA
- Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Division, Little Creek, VA
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop, edit, and refine tactical documentation and training materials
- Create high-quality graphics and multimedia content for presentations and reports
- Draft, review, and update doctrine and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
- Support advanced tactical training aligned with SMWDC’s mission
- Analyze operational and training requirements to address gaps
- Collaborate with Navy leadership and cross-functional teams on deliverables
Requirements
- Security Clearance: Active Security Clearance of SECRET and TS//SCI eligible
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of recent experience developing high quality graphics for presentations
- Minimum 7 years of recent proficiency with Adobe software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Premiere or equivalent computer programs
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience, either teaching or developing BMD or IAMD related doctrine or TTPs
Preferred Attributes
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve tactical training and operational strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for interfacing with Navy leadership and cross-functional teams

Salary : $80,000 - $135,000
