Role Overview
Preventia Security, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, NICET Level II certification, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
- Perform routine inspections, tests, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions.
- Program fire alarm control panels and devices.
- Conduct system acceptance testing and commissioning.
- Adhere to all local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed service reports and documentation.
- Respond to service calls and emergency situations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire alarm industry preferred.
- NICET Level II certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including conventional, addressable, and network systems.
- Experience with various fire alarm manufacturers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
