Job Description
The Director of People Operations carries out responsibilities to support facility employees, increase employee engagement, improve operational effectiveness and ensure employee compliance to state, federal and regulatory requirements. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for ensuring the proper onboarding and training of employees as well as collect, analyze and disseminate pertinent information to supervisors, administrative staff and employees.
Responsibilities
- Monitor adherence to state, federal and regulatory requirements
- Exercises position control for the facility ensuring alignment with facility budget and FTE management based on flexing, average rate of pay, and census variance.
- Oversight on HR training compliance to ensure all staff members meet or exceed compliance for regulatory, state and federal training requirements.
- Oversees New Employee Orientation to ensure that all staff members are on-boarded within company standards and receive a comprehensive orientation to the facility processes and procedures.
- Ensures that all employees have completed their specific position competencies and works with the facility leadership to document these competencies within the employee’s personnel file.
- Takes employee complaints, investigates these complaints from a neutral position, and coordinates with the Corporate HR Department the resolution of the complaint / investigation.
- Oversees the posting of positions in Smart Recruiter and works with facility leadership to oversight the time to touch and candidate experience.
- Supports facility leadership during employee disciplinary discussions and terminations.
- Provides oversight of the employee feedback and company review process to ensure employees are receiving adequate feedback regarding their performance within the organization.
- Coaches and trains leadership staff on the leadership of people, resolving conflict, having difficult conversations, the importance of feedback, and other related topics.
- Develops and oversees the Employee retention program to include recommendations for employee engagement.
- Monitors Peakon and works with leadership and employees to drive engagement and improvement within the systems according to feedback from our employees.
- Responsible for the assessment of HR initiatives and measurement of return on investment (ROI) to support business strategies
- Educates facility leadership on HR issues and legal risks.
- Partners with facility leaders in all areas of HR including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and talent acquisition to reduce potential risk
- Ensures alignment of DBH values, objectives and policy and procedure across the facility.
- Communicates policies pertaining to Human Resources, compensation and benefits to employees and management.
- Conducts exit interviews.
