The Associate Peer Services Coordinator (APSC) assists the Senior Peer Services Coordinator (SPSC) in the day-to-day operations of the Community Peer Recovery Center (CPRC). The APSC supports the implementation of CPRC events, activities, and programming. This role also includes conducting participant intake and follow-up assessments, orienting new participants to the program offerings and policies, and ensuring participants are connected to necessary outside supports. Additionally, the APSC participates in weekly team meetings, provides feedback regarding the utilization and effectiveness of program resources, and assists in the recruitment, training, supervision, retention, and coordination of volunteers. Duties include the following :
- Deliver peer recovery support services to CPRC participants.
- Facilitate mutual aid meetings to support participant recovery journeys.
- Facilitate educational workshops focused on recovery and wellness.
- Plan and run social and recreational activities for participants.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of CPRC programming and events.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the Recovery Data Platform (RDP).
- Assist in the training and supervision of volunteers.
- Provide progress reports to the Senior Peer Services Coordinator (SPSC) regarding participant engagement and program outcomes.
- Work with community partners to coordinate resources and support services for participants.
- Support outreach efforts to engage participants and promote CPRC services.
- Participate in case reviews and contribute to the development of individualized recovery plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all program policies and procedures.
Qualifications for position :
Reports directly to Senior Peer Service Coordinator
Skills, knowledge, Personal Qualities required : Must possess the skills, knowledge, and personal qualities required to fulfill the responsibilities listed above. Bilingual preferred. Strong writing and computer skills required. Strong organization and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Amount of travel and any other special conditions or requirements : Must possess a valid driver’s license and method of transportation. Includes regular weekend and evening availability.
Full time 35 hours per week, non-exempt
