At PRI Technology, we are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Estimator to join our team. As a Senior HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for construction projects with a focus on mechanical and HVAC systems.
Job Description:
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing and project scope details.
- Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate project conditions and potential challenges.
- Utilize estimating software and industry tools to develop cost projections for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks in project execution.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in New York and New York City.
- Assist in contract negotiations, procurement of materials, and subcontractor selection.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HVAC Systems, Mechanical Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a focus on mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, eSUB, ProEst, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical schematics, and project specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple project estimates under tight deadlines.
