Job Summary:
A Senior Engineer with extensive Microsoft 365 experience, who would be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring optimal security, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud technologies, identity and access management, policy enforcement, and automation via PowerShell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), including enforcing Conditional Access Policies and securing authentication mechanisms.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Intune policies for endpoint management and security compliance.
- Utilize PowerShell for automation, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
- Configure and monitor compliance policies, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and information protection via Microsoft Purview.
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications and services, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Provide guidance and best practices for M365 security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Assist in incident response, monitoring, and remediation efforts related to M365 security incidents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimize Microsoft cloud services and integrate with other IT solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft technologies, features, and best practices, recommending improvements as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in IT administration with a focus on Microsoft environments.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including MFA, Conditional Access Policies, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Hands-on experience configuring and enforcing Intune policies for endpoint management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve M365-related issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices for Microsoft cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Purview for compliance policies and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries, such as finance or healthcare, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements.
- Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or equivalent.
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365 services with third-party security and compliance tools.
- Knowledge of hybrid environments and migration strategies between on-premise and cloud-based Microsoft solutions.
