Seafood Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Seafood Clerk. As a Seafood Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the highest quality seafood products are available for purchase. Responsibilities:
- Package, weigh, and label seafood products according to established guidelines
- Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide recommendations on cooking methods and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, including display cases and storage areas
- Receive, inspect, and rotate seafood inventory to ensure freshness and quality
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and maintain product integrity
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new seafood offerings and promotions
- Assist with food production tasks as needed, such as filleting fish or shucking oysters
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a seafood department or similar role
- Knowledge of seafood varieties, cuts, and cooking techniques
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle seafood products with precision
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time

Pay: $16.75 - $20.30 per hour
