Long recognized for its reputable Industrial and Commercial Electrical Services, PRICE ELECTRIC has also provided reliable solutions to a variety of customers in the underground utility installation, traffic signalization and civil lighting markets for over a decade. Our teams are experienced in directional boring, plowing, excavation, fiber optic installation and testing, traffic signalization and roadway lighting and seeking to grow our footprint in Central Iowa and Western Iowa. To accelerate our expansion, PRICE ELECTRIC is looking for a proven utility leader who wants to bid, secure and manage projects from beginning - identifying and / or qualifying new business opportunities - through completion - ensuring performance meets both customer and company expectations.
In summary, the Utility Project Manager / Estimator ensures safe, timely and productive project delivery and meets the branch's utility market objectives by :
- Utilizing market and industry knowledge and connections to develop lasting professional relationships with current customers and introduce the company's service solutions to prospective customers
- Staying in tune to RFQ and RFP opportunities that fit target objectives and then reviewing plans, specifications and documents; determining labor and material requirements; requesting quotes and bids; and preparing comprehensive cost estimates for bid proposals
- Following established project delivery and contract / project administration processes and communications through CMS utilization and project team assistance
- Proactively planning, scheduling, tracking and modifying resources and production including overall project schedule with milestones and critical path established and updated weekly
- Maintaining current and accurate WIP, timely billing with positive cashflow, expense control and actual to budget performance
- Leading, managing and ensuring reports adhere to safety and quality standards including complete inspections, observations and plans for success on all task level items
- Strengthening customer, employee and vendor relations by proactively communicating and engaging with them to understand needs and timely solve any issues
- Performing within budget while meeting company and customer objectives and specifications
