What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Price Industries?
MAIN FUNCTION:
Price Industries Inc., a leader in the commercial HVAC industry, is seeking a Sheet Metal Programmer with some experience programming CNC Turret Punch Presses and Fiber Lasers machines. Experience with Amada AP100 software would be advantageous, but not required. Working knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes is desirable, but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Create/Update CNC programs for turret punch presses and laser cutting machines.
• Improve material utilization.
• Ability to create/modify CAD drawings.
• Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings.
• Ability and willingness to learn new software.
• Sense of urgency. This is a job tied closely to production, requiring quick implementation of new product designs and changes to existing designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to investigate an issue and determine the best course of action.
• Excellent work ethic, ability to adapt, multi-task, and work within a group or solo.
• Must be well organized.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with Amada AP100 software is desirable, but not required.
• Knowledge of Amada turrets and lasers is desirable, but not required.
• Computer skills and familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) are required.
