Design Drafter
MAIN FUNCTION :
The Design Drafter will be responsible for preparing manufacturing drawing packages using 3D CAD software, interpreting design requirements, managing product BOMs, providing documentation and manufacturing support. This position will work closely with production, engineering, scheduling, and purchasing.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Generate manufacturing drawing packages using 3D CAD software (Solid Edge).
- Ensure drawing packages are designed based on criteria established by design engineering and manufacturing.
- Work closely with application engineering to interpret customer specifications / requirements and ensure products meet the desired outcome.
- Manage customer "special" orders.
- Provide documentation support (ER's, ECN's, work instruction, etc.) as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
