What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Coordinator position at Price Industries?
Price Industries Inc. is on the search for a Production Control Coordinator for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, GA. This position will report to the Production Planning Manager and will be responsible for the organization and coordination of material requirements. This position works with the Design Engineering group, Application Engineering and Customer Service group, Information Technologies, Manufacturing and Purchasing.
Responsibilities
- Function as the focal point in creating a production schedule for plant using the best combination of Manufacturing ERP system and Excel
- Determine parts requirements per order based on technical points and ERP outputs
- Monitors, analyzes and reports performance to schedule of production activities
- Assist the Manufacturing department to actively manage the production, schedule work hours and resources
- Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates on parts as needed and document during the releasing process and for special order requests
- Identify and resolve supplier and internal errors that result in schedule discrepancies
- Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes
- Participate in project milestone meetings and new product development as required
- Accurately develop and maintain complex master bills-of-material, and work order bills-of-material
- Validate BOMs to engineering documentation for accuracy on each other
- Reproduce drawings and assemble drawing packets complete with work-order router (traveler), completion dates, and instruction for all operations
- Stay informed of current projects, customer quotes, manufacturing workload, and manufacturing processes
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preference for two-year technical degree.
- 2 years of experience in ERP Manufacturing field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (Data Entry and Printing Options)
- Working knowledge of ERP methodologies
- Familiarity with Microsoft Internet Explorer and/or similar programs
- Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
- Good oral and written communication
- Exceptional computer-based skills and knowledge
- Demonstrable problem solving and analytic skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
