Manager, Finance Operations - North American Flights

Priceline has an established North American flight business that we are looking to expand. This role will focus on managing the existing process as well as the expansion through supporting the finance onboarding process, timely reconciliations, and payment processes. You will effectively lead the North American Air A/P team, and evolve this function to meet the future needs of our rapidly growing and dynamic business. This role includes ensuring that all new airlines are established in the finance systems in a smooth and timely fashion. This role also oversees accurate and timely reconciliations and payments arranged through IAR/ARC, as well as select third-party-providers. In addition, the North American Flights Manager can apply knowledge and experience to issues that have not been previously encountered to determine effective solutions.
In this role you will get to:

Directly lead and develop an on-shore and off-shore team responsible for daily Air Accounts Payable and Vendor Reconciliation processes including regular weekly & monthly operational reporting (measured by Key Performance Indicators)

Proactively identify the need for, design, and implement both operational & Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls across the air operations function to effectively mitigate risk

Act as our primary air operations project focal for the new complex and/or high impact initiatives by reviewing and assessing financial impacts with a cross-functional team, and designing new financial processes that meet audit standards

Ensure subledger and General Ledger accounts for Air AP are reconciled and certified monthly, and trends are investigated, explained, and appropriate action taken

Data Skills to find patterns and help the team find the root cause of issues
Who you are:

5 years of Airline or GDS (Flights) Travel Experience

Have a minimum of 5 years of financial operations, accounts payable, and/or accounting experience with progressive growth in responsibilities

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related professional experience

Air industry expertise and experience is required

Has detailed and intricate understanding of GDS functions and language

Has detailed and intricate understanding of IAR/ARC (Airline Reporting Corp) and Compass

Have strong written and verbal communication skills and proven success with effectively leading a financial operations team

Analytical and comfortable working with big data

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant. The salary range for this position is $75,000- $100,000K USD.
