Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Instructor Trainer to join the Administrative Applications Grants Management System (GMS) Team in Austin, TX. This role will support the development and delivery of role- and scenario-based training materials, including written content, recorded webinars, and in-person sessions for internal staff and external users of the Salesforce-based enterprise GMS platform.
This hybrid role involves a mix of web-based and onsite training activities, primarily focusing on technical system training delivery, curriculum creation, training documentation, and instructional design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs, including in-person and virtual instructor-led courses, video tutorials, job aids, and multimedia content.
- Design and maintain training materials related to software solutions, system operations, IT security, and desktop support.
- Conduct needs assessments and create tailored training plans to address diverse audience requirements.
- Create and maintain instructor materials (course outlines, instructional guides, presentation decks, training aids).
- Deliver Salesforce GMS training to end users and system administrators across agency departments and external partners.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to update training in line with evolving system features and user feedback.
- Assist in formatting and improving materials created by other staff.
- Maintain knowledge of e-learning tools, accessibility standards (EIR), assistive technologies, and best practices in adult learning.
- Serve as the testing officer to evaluate instructional techniques and training effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
- âś… 8 years of experience as a training instructor or in a related field
- âś… 8 years of experience in training methods and technologies
- âś… 8 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design
Preferred Qualifications:
- 🎓 4 years of experience with instructional design and training materials for Information Technology applications or systems
- 🎓 4 years of experience in strong presentation and facilitation skills
- 🎓 4 years of experience with excellent written communication abilities
- 🎓 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred, not required)
Technical Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook – 2010 and later)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-Learning authoring tools
- Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM platforms is a plus
- Ability to deliver technical training across software platforms including remote access and IT support systems
- Understanding of EIR Accessibility standards and communication protocols for users requiring assistive technologies
