Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Wi-Fi Software Platform Engineer with a deep understanding of Wi-FI such as MAC/PHY layers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of hand-on development in Linux/C/Embedded environment building software stack for Wi-Fi based products.
Description
- Lead the software design and development efforts for our Wi-FI based telecom products, focusing on MAC and PHY layers, chipset integration, and related software components.
- Deep understanding of WiFi MAC and/or PHY layer (11ac/11ax/11be)
- Deep expertise in developing embedded SW on multi-core, multi-chipset platforms.
- Extensive experience in WiFi technologies to design, implement, and optimize WiFi software solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging standards in the WiFi domain, providing guidance on their integration into our products.
- Oversee the integration of software with different layers in chipsets, ensuring efficient and effective communication between software and hardware components.
- Work closely with chipset vendors to understand their capabilities and limitations, and drive software improvements by adding features accordingly.
- Expertise in customizing the MAC and PHY different SW layers in chipset/software and to customize embedded software to align with the clients specific needs.
- Hands-on expertise in Linux/C/Embedded software development to guide and mentor software development teams.
- Participate in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting complex software issues.
- Implement best practices for quality assurance, code reviews, and testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of software products.
- Optimize software performance, addressing bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience as Lead Wi-Fi Software Platform Developer with strong hands-on experience in Linux/C/Embedded environments
- In-depth knowledge of MAC and/or PHY layers, as well as extensive experience with WiFi technologies.
- Strong understanding of chipset integration and communication between software and hardware layers.
- Hands-on experience with embedded software development.
- Deep understanding of algorithms related to MU MIMO and MAC/PHY cross-layer design.
