MRI Technologist (Contract) – Brooklyn, NY
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11234
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform MRI imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain high-quality imaging standards. This role requires expertise in MRI operations, patient positioning, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures and operate specialized imaging equipment.
- Prepare, position, and assist patients throughout the MRI process.
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images according to established protocols.
- Educate patients about imaging procedures and safety guidelines.
- Review patient safety questionnaires and follow MRI safety precautions.
- Assist in administering contrast media following aseptic techniques.
- Maintain and ensure cleanliness of imaging rooms and equipment.
- Properly document and manage patient information in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
- Ensure timely transmission of images to PACS and completion of studies.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any necessary repairs.
- Adhere to infection control policies to ensure a safe environment.
- Attend required training and maintain professional licensure and certifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
- Licensing: Valid New York State License (L.R.T.), NY State IV Certification.
- Certifications: ARRT (MRI Certified), BLS Certification.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and imaging best practices.
- Experience working with IDX (Radiology Information System) and PACS preferred.
