Principal Engineer-(5G Deployment & AI/ML)

Description Summary

Client Platforms is looking for a Senior/Principal Engineer to work on its ongoing 5G and RAN infrastructure and technology development efforts. The Principal Architect will be responsible for developing the 5G technology roadmap, including infrastructure design, preliminary technology / vendor evaluation, and related service design. The Architect will be seen as a core company-wide resource on 5G technology, standards, and service evolution.

Job Duties:

• Develop end-to-end Network/Systems Architecture to deliver the best 4G/5G service experience by coordinating with various internal stakeholders, OEMs, and component manufacturers
• Provide detailed recommendations, designs, and roadmaps for network and service solutions based on different use cases for 5G, working closely with cross-functional SMEs
• Discuss and document the work with vendor and internal cross-functional teams for the implementation of the defined solutions
• Continuously evolve relevant knowledge and skillset to stay abreast of innovation in wireless technology and provide expert guidance on same to the organization at large

Required Skills & Qualifications

• MSEE or similar with 8 years in network architecture, design, engineering and/or optimization of wireless networks- within an OEM or Service Provider Network Organization is must.
• Hands-on experience in AI/ML and their application in day-to-day network planning, engineering, and operations.
• Working knowledge of using network data to adopt general-purpose LLMs and create network-specific SLMs for enhancing the network experience, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Hands-on experience in Network Data analytics with a focus on ML-driven data processing and inferences for building an AI-Ops framework
• Technical background in Network Planning & Design/ Performance Management/Optimization RAN, 4G, 5G Network architecture in a service provider Setting, with at least 1 year experience in building or managing 5G networks.
• Experience in network design including product selection, specification and dimensioning for a multi access network including 4G, 5G, and WIFI access technologies.
• In-depth experience with disaggregated and cloud native RAN implementation architecture
• Familiar with ORAN and 3GPP Rel.15 and Rel.16 specifications and call flows for various services (VoLTE/VoNR, HSI/eMBB, URLLC, NBIoT, is required. And participation in the working groups of these organizations is a great plus.
• Strong communications skills to articulate problem statements and solutions to both top level management as well as Engineering/Solution teams across diverse work environments in both written as well as oral form is essential to succeed in this Job.
• Self-motivated and self-directed, strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership due.
• Ability to work effectively from remote office / home office location, if required
