About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Scientific Writer and Communications Specialist with expertise in gene therapy initiatives, translational science, and regulatory documentation. This role involves crafting scientific content, providing regulatory support, and enhancing public-facing communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and edit various scientific and technical materials, including manuscripts, journal articles, presentations, and digital media content.
- Develop content for public-facing websites in collaboration with the program team.
- Conduct advanced literature reviews, analyze findings, and prepare summaries, dashboards, and presentations.
- Provide regulatory support, including drafting and reviewing documentation for compliance with guidelines.
- Design templates and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for regulatory meetings and milestones.
- Mentor and train staff on best practices for scientific writing and documentation.
- Generate content for dissemination across multiple formats, ensuring adherence to program goals and guidelines.
- Proofread and finalize scientific documents, ensuring accuracy and readiness for publication.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- PhD required in Biology or a related field.
- Proven expertise in scientific writing and regulatory documentation.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in scientific writing and communication of complex biomedical topics.
- Experience with content development for websites, ideally in WordPress.
- Familiarity with regulatory processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and other relevant software.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and mentoring.
- Highly organized with an attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with translational science projects.
