Sleep Technologist (Part-Time) NIMH

Location :

NIMH, 10 Center Dr., Bldg. 10, Room 1C250, Bethesda, MD 20892

Hours :

Part-time (24 hours / week)

Position Summary

The contractor will support the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) by performing sleep studies, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with research operations.

Qualifications

  • Education : NDT Program
  • Certification : Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT)
  • Skills :

Expertise in sleep study procedures and scoring (AASM guidelines)

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining diagnostic equipment
  • Workflow coordination for sleep studies
  • Collaboration with clinical staff and protocol teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and score sleep studies, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Monitor and maintain sleep study equipment and software
  • Provide technical support and guidance to night staff
  • Assist in scheduling, workflow optimization, and staffing recommendations
  • Maintain and organize research data for analysis and archiving
  • Support procurement and administrative documentation related to sleep studies
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to expand and improve sleep study services
