Job Title : Security Engineer / Architect / Cloud Security Engineer
Location : Austin TX (Hybrid) 4 days remote & 1 day onsite
Duration : Long term Contract
Note : Must be local to Austin and have State or Federal client experience.
Description of Services
The Systems Analyst 3 is responsible for analyzing business objectives and problems identifying alternative solutions and performing studies and cost / benefit analysis of alternatives. The role involves analyzing user requirements procedures and problems to automate processes or improve existing computer systems. The analyst will work with organizational units to analyze current procedures identify problems and understand specific input / output requirements.
The position also supports cloud migration projects including AWS and related security activities such as threat intelligence vulnerability identification and managing DevSecOps operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in large operations and development environments be proficient with cybersecurity software and have knowledge of infrastructure in IT operations.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
8 years required of experience in coordinating and executing security policies and controls assessing vulnerabilities within the company.
8 years required of experience with data and network security processing security systems management and security violation investigation.
8 years required of performing analysis of onprem and cloud security operations working with DevSecOps teams to deliver securityrelated activities including audits documentation and reporting.
8 years required of experience understanding regulatory requirements with indepth knowledge of industry standards and proficiency with cybersecurity software.
8 years required of experience managing various projects and overseeing all aspects of the projects.
8 years required of strong problem identification and analysis skills with the ability to recommend and implement effective solutions.
8 years required of experience orchestrating project calls including kickoff notification of findings and closeout calls for remediation recommendations.
8 years required of experience implementing security measures to protect systems networks and data while staying up to date on the latest intelligence and hacker methodologies.
8 years required of extensive experience working with and implementing NIST 80037 NIST 80053 MARSE controls POA&Ms and developing Corrective Action Plans.
8 years required of experience reviewing violations of security procedures and collaborating with security teams.
8 years required of experience with security web application firewalls.
8 years required of experience managing conflict and resolving issues at managerial levels.
8 years required of experience reviewing and coordinating audit responses evidence gathering and plan of actions.
5 years preferred of experience developing and implementing IT policies standards and procedures.
4 years preferred of experience in delivering technical training in cloudbased technology.
4 years preferred of experience providing Windows and Linux operating system and application support.
4 years preferred of experience with information security risk assessments and security governance.
4 years preferred of indepth knowledge and handson experience with AWS Cloud Security.
3 years preferred of experience with ITIL ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow.
3 years preferred of experience with Archer GRC Dynatrace Splunk Imperva Web Application Firewall Qualys and MS Office tools.
Terms of Service
Start Date : 04 / 01 / 2025
End Date : 08 / 31 / 2025
Total Estimated Hours : 1000 hours
The service may be amended renewed or extended upon mutual agreement.
Work Hours and Location
Normal Business Hours : Monday through Friday 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM excluding state holidays.
Primary Work Location : 701 W. 51st Street Austin TX 78751 (Hybrid 4 days remote 1 day onsite).
Travel and Expenses : Any travel per diem parking or living expenses will be the responsibility of the candidate / vendor unless preapproved.
Schedule :
Onsite : Wednesdays (tentative subject to change)
Remote : Mondays Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays (tentative subject to change)
The candidate may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends evenings or holidays. Payment for overtime work will be preapproved by the agency.
Special Requirements
The position is localonly meaning candidates must be based within the Austin TX area or surrounding cities.
The candidate may be required to work remotely up to 100% of the time as per agency discretion.
