Pride Air Conditioning & Appliance, Inc. is now hiring quality-minded people for our HVAC service department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum experience of 3 years, an EPA card, and a clean driver's license. Preferably with the tools & knowledge to install a wide range of vendor'manufacturer residential and commercial HVAC systems.
We are looking for positive people with great customer skills. Must be able to ensure installation is completed on schedule. Reliable and efficient technicians that can lead and train helpers during the installation of motors, condenser, and air handlers for new and existing customers.
We will provide an opportunity to grow with special training in our lab, working with company team leaders, and managers. Attending and completion of factory'manufacturer training classes as required.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently install air conditioning equipment in customers' homes.
- Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
- Keep your company truck clean and well-stocked.
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly including:
- Permits
- Process invoices and ensure collection of deposit and balance payments.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and work late if necessary.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs. unassisted
- Can climb extension ladders, step ladders and 90degree vertical ladders to roof
- Experienced handling freon, high-pressure nitrogen, CO2, oxygen & acetylene
- Experienced cleaning a/c coils with coil cleaner
- Experienced installing water-cooled equipment valves
- Experienced doing high & low voltage wiring (including breakers, contactors, compressors & thermostat wiring)
- Experienced changing & installing fan motors and all components relating to a/c equipment
- Be capable of replacing compressors
- Always arrive on the job with a neat, clean appearance (including practicing good personal hygiene)
- Always act in a professional manner when dealing with customer and interacting with co-workers (incl: posing no safety and/or health threat to self or others

Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as a lead installer.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary certifications.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Clean driving record
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
