What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Assistant position at Pride Health?
Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Bethel, CT. This is a 17-week contract with the possibility of an extension, and it is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
Essential Duties:
1. Provide patient care, clinical summary, and direction on the next steps or follow-up.
2. Act as a care team member, including preparing patients to be seen by collecting and recording clinical information as per protocol.
3. Document all patient interactions and other clinical activities accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
4. Monitor task buckets to respond to tasks in a timely manner, follow up on overdue orders/worklists and monitor status of critical referrals.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- 1 Year Recent Primary Care Experience
- 1 Year Recent Phlebotomy Experience
- 1 Year Recent Medication Administration Experience (Vaccinations)
- Minimum 2 years working as medical assistant.
- Ability to commute to the office location.
