Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Coder to support our client’s medical facility based in Dallas, TX. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
*REMOTE POSITION*
📄 Job Type: Contract
📆 Duration: 13 weeks
📍 Location: Dallas, TX - 75235
🕒 Schedule: 8 am - 5 pm CST, scheduling at the discretion of the Department / 40 hours/week - weekend requirements to be decided at the interview
💵 Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.70 / hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Coding and CPT Guidelines for E/M (Evaluation and Management)
- Ability to demonstrate coding knowledge through questions
- Experience in clinic coding, including office-type procedures, vaccinations, and E/M leveling
- Familiarity with modifiers used in the clinic setting
- Risk Adjustment experience is acceptable but must also have clinic coding experience
- AAPC certification required (CPC, CPC-H, and/or COC)
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, HCC, and HEDIS CAT II, E/M coding
- Experience with EPIC EHR and 3M 360 coding is preferred
- Ability to assign CPT codes

Responsibilities:
- Accurately code clinical procedures, vaccinations, and E/M levels while ensuring compliance with CPT and ICD-10 guidelines.
- Apply appropriate modifiers for clinic coding and maintain proficiency in EPIC EHR and 3M 360 coding systems.
- Review and analyze patient records to ensure correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCC coding for billing and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding questions to optimize accuracy and reimbursement.
