Certified Medical Coder

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Coder to support our client’s medical facility based in Charlotte, NC. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

*Remote Medical CODER Position!!!*

• Location: Charlotte, NC - 28208
• Job Type: Contract
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Specialty: Coding Reimbursement Specialist III
• Schedule: 8 am – 5 pm
• Pay Range: $34.00 - $39.50 per hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree – required
• 7 years of related experience – required
• 2-3 years in Billing Reimbursement and/or Patient Accounting – required
• CPC certification – preferred

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze coding-related denials, assisting in the resolution and educating staff on trends and best practices.
• Identify and assess reimbursement issues by collecting and analyzing data on denials and payment trends.
• Support claim appeals by assisting in drafting appeal letters and tracking their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with various departments to improve coding accuracy, compliance, and reimbursement efficiency.
