Certified Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in New Britain, CT. This is a full-time contract of 3 months with possibilities of extension or conversion to permanent opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position: Float Phlebotomist

Shift: Morning Shift

Duration: 3 months Contract with possibilities of extension / Conversion to full time

Location: New Britain, CT

Pay Range: $17 - $22/ hour based on experience

Note: This is a float position. Mileage would be reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with drawing blood, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures.
• Explaining the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrating technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification required.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
