Pride Health is hiring a Surgical Tech to support our client’s medical facility in Urbana, IL 61801 . This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Title : Surgical Tech
Shift : Day (7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM)
Location : Urbana, IL 61801
Contract Length : 13 weeks with possible ext.
On Call : 4 to 5 shifts per 4-week period
Responsibilities :
- Apply aseptic principles to maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate competency in technical skills, judgment, and knowledge for obstetrical patient care.
- Assist in the coordination and organization of supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Ensure safety for patients, co-workers, and self, adhering to safety and legal requirements.
- Charge for equipment and supplies used during procedures.
- Assist with room turnover and set-up, ensuring readiness for the next patient.
- Maintain, clean, and repair equipment according to policy.
- Perform sterilization and disinfection, documenting loads as required.
- Assist with patient positioning and obtaining necessary supplies and devices.
- Provide support to medical students, residents, and other students during scrub duties and procedures.
