💸 Salary: $83,000 - $114,000 (based on qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform microscopic evaluation of gyn and non-gyn cytology specimens, including Liquid-based Paps and FNAs (thyroid, pancreas, lymph nodes).
• Ensure accurate testing and reporting through quality control activities.
• Supervise lab operations, provide guidance on specimen processing, and maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with Cytopathologists on complex cases.
• Write/review procedures and educate staff to enhance lab quality.
• Monitor department performance through audits and direct observation.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Required skills and minimum years of experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cytotech in a pathology-directed lab.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Supervisor in a lab.
• Thorough knowledge within the field of cytology and cytoevaluation of all cytology specimens (Gyn and non-Gyn, including FNA's of thyroid, pancreas, lymph nodes, etc.).
• Documentation of passing the annual PAP PT.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:

• BS degree in cytology, general science, or related biological sciences.
• Successful completion of an Accredited Cytotechnology Program.
• Certification in Cytotechnology by ASCP.
• Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
