We are recruiting a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position in our client's Emergency Department (ED). Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Conduct thorough and accurate assessments for patients of all ages.
- Clinical Skills: Provide direct care and operate emergency equipment competently.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
- Professionalism: Maintain professionalism and adhere to hospital policies in all interactions.
- Patient Satisfaction: Promote patient-centered care by interacting positively with patients, families, and team members.
- Safety: Follow safety protocols, including patient identification and safe transfer techniques.
- Unit-Specific Care: Provide care tailored to emergency procedures and individual patient needs.
- Responsibility: Prioritize and manage patient care according to their condition.
- Patient Education: Deliver pre- and post-care education, ensuring patient understanding.
- Pre-Admission Testing: Support pre-admission testing and evaluate orders for appropriateness.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical demands as defined by Occupational Safety/OMS.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department (ED)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Current RN License
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification (Required for pediatric ER only)
Preferred:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
