Health Information Management Technician
Pride Health is hiring a Health Information Management Technician for one of its clients in California.
This is a 3-month contract with a possibility of extension with competitive pay and benefits.
Location – Hoag Business Center, Costa Mesa, California– 92626
Pay range - $25 - $28 per hour. (Based on relevant experience)
Length of assignment – 3 Months of Contract (Possibility of extension)
Shift – Mon-Fri 5 am - 11 : 30 pm (8 Hours per day) 100% onsite.
Job Summary
The Health Information Management Technician II processes health information under the direction of the HIM Manager or designated supervisor.
Job Duties
- Pick-up of discharged patient records from nursing units; prepping / scanning / indexing documents in the EMR.
- Answers telephone and respond according to department policy.
- Keeps supervisor informed of issues / concerns that may arise.
- Seeks out additional tasks when assigned work is completed; provides backup coverage for other positions in the HIM department.
- Meets quality and / or productivity expectations.
- Additional duties may include accurately analyzing records for deficiencies; managing all aspects of the clerical transcription process; and working in various work queues in the EMR.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
