Pride Health is hiring a LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) to support our client’s medical facility in California and other locations. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
An LVN in Orthopedics provides crucial patient care support in orthopedic settings, ensuring patients receive top-notch treatment and assistance throughout their recovery. They work alongside orthopedic physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assist in evaluating and managing musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Duties include monitoring patient vitals, assisting in procedures, preparing patients for exams or surgeries, and educating patients on post-procedure care. LVNs in orthopedics also maintain accurate records, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients. Strong communication, attention to detail, and compassion are essential in this fast-paced, patient-focused role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist orthopedic surgeons and healthcare teams during patient assessments and procedures.
- Monitor and record patient vitals, ensuring proper documentation of all findings.
- Prepare patients for examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic tests in the orthopedic department.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- BLS certification required.
- IV certification required
- 1 year of experience in orthopedics and 2 years of experience as a LVN
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

- Location: California and other locations
- Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract
- Shifts: 8 HOURS day shift
- Weekly Pay: $1450-$1650 (Travel pay) 1500 (Local pay)
