Pride Health is hiring a Medical Technologist I to support our client’s medical facility based in Gaithersburg MD 20877. This is a 6-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.We are currently seeking aClinical Laboratory Technologistto join our team. This role will be responsible for performing both routine and non-routine laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and precise reporting of results in a timely manner. The successful candidate will perform moderately difficult to complex tasks, adhering to laboratory policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.Key Responsibilities :Perform specimen handling, processing, and test analyses in accordance with laboratory procedures.Maintain and document patient test results, ensuring adherence to established quality control policies.Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review / release test results.Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety regulations in all aspects of testing and reporting.Identify and resolve issues impacting test performance or results, and document corrective actions taken.Ensure timely reporting of critical and STAT results to clients.Maintain accurate records of all testing performed and reagents / test kits used.Participate in departmental meetings, safety training, and any required regulatory inspections.Qualifications : Education :BS in Medical Technology, or BS / BA in Chemistry or Biology. Alternatively, previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 (published in March 14, 1990).Experience :At least one year of clinical experience in high complexity testing is preferred.
