Mammography Technologist

Pride Health is hiring a Mammography Technologist to support our client's hospital facility in Chicago, IL 60617. This is a 13 contract-weeks role, with possible extension – open to local and travel.

Summary: Performs basic and intermediate screening and diagnostic mammography examinations under the direction of the Radiologist.

Duties:

• Performs breast imaging as well as ultrasound and stereotactic-guided biopsy procedures.
• Assists in the technical orientation of cross-trained Radiologic Technologists and instructs them in complex or difficult procedures.
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment according to manufacturer specifications and facility protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing concerns.
• Ensure patient comfort and maintain privacy throughout the examination.
• Position patients properly to capture accurate images.
• Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational safety and imaging regulations (e.g., MQSA, ACR guidelines).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for quality assurance purposes.
• Work closely with radiologists to ensure images meet diagnostic needs.

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required

Experience

• 2 years Mammo Tech experience
• 3D Mammo experience
• Diagnostic breast scans experience
• HIGHLY PREFER a candidate with experience with stereotactic and biopsies but not required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Mammography required
• Active IL License (IEMA)
• BLS required

Additional Information:

• Location: Chicago, IL 60617
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 4 PM (40 hours per week)
• Weekend Rotation: Every other Saturday (7:30pm-4pm) If working a Saturday, will have another day off during the week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hour
