Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Tyndall, SD

Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract

Shifts: 4x9 hour shifts per week, with the start time between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and the end time between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing and treating diseases, working independently and efficiently. The role requires high-level phlebotomy skills and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in laboratory procedures and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing and treating diseases.
• Prepare and process samples, conducting a variety of laboratory tests.
• Analyze test results and maintain lab equipment.
• Perform phlebotomy, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate medical records and data collection.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control measures, and hospital policies.
• Work independently and collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely results.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Must hold ASCP (or equivalent) certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current laboratory experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
• Skills: High-level phlebotomy experience and the ability to work independently.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification encouraged, but not required.
• Other Requirements: Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently in a fast-paced environment.
