Medical Physicist

Pride Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Radiation Oncology Physicist to join our client’s team in Charleston, SC. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, therapists, and other medical professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining treatment plans and ensuring accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with radiation oncologists on the physical and radiobiological aspects of patient treatments.
• Develop, implement, and review treatment plans using advanced technology including Eclipse and TruBeam.
• Perform dose calculations and ensure accurate machine settings for radiation therapy.
• Design and fabricate treatment aids and beam modifiers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate data for treatment plans.
• Conduct periodic reviews of patient treatment charts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance to radiation therapists and other clinical staff.
• Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.

Qualifications:

• Certification: DABR Certification (Required)
• Education: Doctorate in Medical Physics (Preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or completion of a residency in Radiation Oncology Physics (Preferred)
• Skills: Strong proficiency in treatment planning systems, particularly Eclipse and experience with TruBeam technology.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Location: Charleston, SC 29414
• Schedule: 4x10 Days (Flexible) / 40 Hours per Week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Pay Rate: $165 - $175/hour
