Pride Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support our client’s medical facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! This contract opportunity is a great way to join a top-tier healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
✅ Medication Preparation & Distribution: Prepares and distributes medications following established pharmacy policies and procedures.
✅ Inventory & Compliance: Manages ADC inventories, reconciles stock levels, and ensures medication storage areas comply with regulations.
✅ Sterile IV Preparation: Performs sterile IV admixtures using aseptic technique, including hazardous medication preparation.
✅ Controlled Substance Management: Oversees controlled substances and reconciles inventories.
✅ Training & Collaboration: Trains new technician staff and collaborates with hospital units, patients, and interdisciplinary teams.
✅ Customer Service & Insurance Assistance: Processes prior authorizations, patient assistance requests, and insurance-related issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred: Pharmacy Technician training program graduate).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a hospital pharmacy department (preferred).
- For decentralized technicians, 3 years in an outpatient/community pharmacy.
Certification:
- Required: Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (PTCE or ExCPT) within 6 months of hire.
