Shift: Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm
Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients for routine health visits and critical health decisions. This role involves:
- Drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
- Ensuring safety, accuracy, and professionalism in every patient interaction.
- Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures.
- Following established procedures, confidentiality policies, and process excellence standards.
- Working at doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Specimen Collection & Processing:
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection with precision.
- Verify patient demographic information, including initials and signatures post-venipuncture.
- Ensure all specimens are properly labeled in the patient’s presence.
🔹 Patient Interaction & Customer Service:
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment.
- Demonstrate strong phlebotomy skills, including working with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
🔹 Compliance & Documentation:
- Adhere to company policies, dress code, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per company standards.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and accuracy.
🔹 Work Environment & Flexibility:
- Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Must be flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.
- Travel to multiple locations as needed, sometimes on short notice.
- Maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).

- Handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus and clear, open communication with colleagues and patients.
Job Requirements:
✔ Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Medical training (Preferred): Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
✔ Experience:
- 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred).
- Customer service experience in a retail or service setting (Preferred).
- Keyboarding/data entry experience (Preferred).
✔ Additional Details:
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- Must embrace change, adaptability, and teamwork.
