Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I – 1st Shift to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Oakland, MD. This is a Full-time, 9 weeks contract for 1st Shift (Weekdays).

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) to join our Oakland, MD team. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of our client to patients coming in for essential lab services. You'll provide quality, compassionate care while drawing blood samples and preparing them for lab testing—ensuring accuracy, safety, and professionalism throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality venipuncture and capillary collections
• Verify and label specimens following all procedures
• Ensure proper documentation and patient data entry
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment
• Deliver superior customer service in a fast-paced setting
• Adapt to changing needs, including occasional weekend, holiday, or OT coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience
• Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collection experience – required

• Location: Oakland, MD
• Job Type: Contract (9 Week)
• Shift: Weekday, 1st Shift, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay Range: $17 - $21 per hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
