Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a clinic/ambulatory assignment in Elmhurst, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong oncology and medical/surgical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience working in an acute setting. This role requires a compassionate and professional RN who can provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure all clinic/ambulatory procedures are followed.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to patients in the clinic/ambulatory setting
Assist with oncology and medical/surgical procedures
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing necessary interventions
Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options
Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and support staff
Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with health standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
- Strong oncology and med/surg nursing experience
Active New York State RN License
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
Phlebotomist certification is a plus
Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as required
Must be able to commit to the shift schedule and report as scheduled
Schedule:
- 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekend shifts
- Two possible shift times: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Certifications & Licenses:
- ACLS
- BLS
- Phlebotomist (Preferred)
- RN License (New York State)
