Pride Health is urgently seeking candidates for a Specimen Accessioner/Technician in Detroit, MI 48236 .This is a Contractual role with possibility for extension or conversion to full time.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 10:30 Pm - 7 am or 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Pay Range: $26-$31/hour
*Pay offered will be based on experience, expertise and education.
Job Duties:
The main function of an accessioner is responsible for processing laboratory samples. They work withother laboratory employees to catalog patient specimens, like blood, urine, or tissue, for analysis. They mostlywork with blood. Lab professionals carry out diagnosis and treatment based on the samples received.
Essential Duties: Receives and triages all specimens for clinical testing. Manages clinical information withinLIMS database. Performs internal audits of clinical charts. Collaborates with various departments to ensuretesting accuracy.
Specimen receiving and sorting.
Collects samples and submits them for testing
Provides lab support.
Performs accurate data entry of the samples.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience in healthcare.
Data entry experience a must.
